St Mark's Governing Body is made up of parents, staff, a member of the LEA and members of local churches. We are all committed to supporting and helping the school continue to be an outstanding place of education, learning and fun for each child that attends. Many governors are at school each day dropping off and collecting children so please don't hesitate to speak to any one us if you have questions.

Chelsey Koulombris - Parent Governor and Chair
of Governors I'm married to Nick and we have two children. I'm a full time mum
and wife but spend most of my time doing voluntary work, both at St Mark's school and
other organisations. When I have the time I love to read and listen to music.

|
Nici Cahusac - Foundation Governor and Vice Chair of Governors I'm married to Bill who's a curate in the Tollington Parish (based at St Mark's church) and we
have three young boys. I love immersing myself in a ‘project', having family time with Bill and the boys and going
for a run. I hope to do my 4th marathon or take up triathlons when time permits! I get involved on a
voluntary basis at St Mark's church as much as possible and host the Monday morning parent's prayer meeting at school. (9 a.m. for 15 mins!)

Tracey Campbell - Staff Governor I am an Advanced
Skills Teacher with a specialism in Behaviour Management and
SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning). My role, primarily, is
to support my colleagues and those in neighbouring schools, to develop
systems to manage behaviour effectively. My belief is that you
can't be something to everybody, but you can be everything to
somebody. It's about being intentional in looking beyond a child's
behaviour; choosing to light a candle, rather than complain about the
darkness... hmmm.
I am an active member of an East London
church, where I am involved in Children's Ministry and Worship
Leading. My two loves are... music and the colour red!

Chris Daynes - Foundation Governor I was born and brought up in
Hull before moving to North London in 1999. My wife Bex and I have two
young children and live (within earshot of the school...!) on Mitford Road.
I am a Solicitor at the West End firm Streathers Solicitors and a
churchwarden at St Mark's church.

|
Rachel D'Souza - Foundation Governor I'm a parent foundation
governor, which means I have children at St Mark's school, and I'm
also part of St Mark's church. This is where J and I got married (quite a
few years ago). I work 4 days a week in Sexual & Reproductive Health, and
keep fit by cycling to work (including to Wembley once a week!) I also host the Friday morning parent's prayer meeting at school. (9 a.m. for 15 mins!)

 |
Christine Kinnear - Foundation Governor I'm green minded and work as a
marketing consultant specialising in environmental marketing. Unfortunately, my
green intentions haven't translated into being green fingered, so although I'd
like to be able to say my leisure time is spent in the garden you'll actually
find me with my head in a book, on the treadmill at the gym or spending time
with my two children, both of whom attend St Mark's. |
 |
Cathy Heels - Staff Governor and Headteacher I have been the Head Teacher at St Mark's since April 2008. It is a fabulous school to work in where everybody cares for each other in a strong learning environment. I have previously taught in Camden for 10 years and Barnet for 5 years. I particularly enjoy teaching Maths and currently teach a group from Year 5 & 6.

Ann Lyons - Staff Governor I work
as a HLTA at St Mark's School. I live in Islington with my partner Gus and my
three daughters. If I am ever lucky enough to get spare
time I like to read (preferably on a sun drenched beach).

|
Steve Proctor - Parent Governor I've been a governor at St Mark's for over 5 years with one child still at the school and my eldest having just graduated to secondary school. I work for Islington council in Children's Services as a day job!
|
 |
Rob Smith - LEA Governor I've lived around Holloway Road and Archway since I moved to London in 2001. I'm a member of the congregation at St Thomas's Church in Finsbury Park where I run a Fair Trade stall. In my spare time I love travelling - especially camping trips. My favourite thing to eat is roast dinner!

|
Jonathan Ward - Foundation Governor I have two children at St
Mark's and my wife Denise is very involved with the ‘Friends of St Mark's'. We
are all active members of St Luke's church in Holloway. As a building engineer
I have experience in environmentally friendly building projects, and so I'm
particularly involved in school premises issues. I'm also actively
involved in the redevelopment plans for the school grounds. Please get in
touch if you are interested in helping with ideas or fundraising!

the Tollington Parish (based at St Mark's church). I'm married to Susie and have
two young children. I enjoy the
great outdoors, a good swim and cheesy action movies!
