This week children from Year 2 up to Year 6 have taken part in the worldwide initiative the ‘Hour of Code’. The aim of the scheme is to get children into coding and programming at a younger age so that every student has the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in a 21st-century career path.

The children had a fantastic time in their coding lessons. They have written lines of code for a Minecraft, Star Wars and Frozen games. Children have really enjoyed the opportunity to get to grips with coding.
