Today at St Mark’s we held a special assembly for Remembrance Day. At 11am, the whole school met in the hall and held a 1 minutes silence to remember all those who lost their lives in the war. We also learnt about the different variations of the traditional Remembrance Poppy and what the different colour mean. Lots of children had made their own poppies as part of Friday’s home learning task. Enjoy some of the pictures of this special occasion below:-

This I call to mind and therefore have hope,

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,

His mercies never come to an end,

They are new every morning.
