Apparently the children are looking at spiders’ eggs!

Yep! Hundreds of spiders eggs…and they’re supposed to be good for our growing area!?

Our wonderful gardener is helping the children enter a Sunflower competition organised by The London Children’s Flower Society.

Gardening is not just about dirty hands…so I’ve been told! The children learn a few facts about sunflowers before planting them.

The children were able to share facts about sunflowers, we eat sunflower seeds, we use sunflower oil, the brown part of the sunflower are all seeds, the yellow petals attract bees.

The children filled their pots with soil/compost.

Caroline demonstrated, using her index finger, how to make a hole for the seed.

The children followed Caroline’s example

All the children planted their sunflower seed.

The children needed to water their plants in the greenhouse

Picking sunflower seeds to plant

These plants are well watered. We must remeber to water them regularly

The Christian values are wisdom, service, hope, creation, thankfulness and trust.
