Last Tuesday Onyx Class took part in an inter school competition at AMSI school against Christ the King Primary School. Year 6 classes from both schools took part in a coding competitions using the  program ‘Kodu.” Children worked in pairs to create their own interactive games and over the past few week children had been developing their skills in weekly computing lesson. On the competition day children were able to work in AMSI School’s ICT suite and given a 2 hour time limit to create their games. Not only was the standard extremely high but all children excelled in the competition. All children received a certificate and  Andre and Isaac won a special runners up prize. Also a special well done to Billy and Bedo who won the overall competition and first  prize of a computing tablet.  Check out the photos below.

Creating a Kodu game isn't easy. You've got to work as a team and listen to each others ideas.
