Safer Internet Day

On Tuesday 9th February we will be joining schools and youth settings across the UK in celebrating Safer Internet Day 2021. Safer Internet Day is a global campaign to promote the safe and responsible use of technology, which calls on young people and adults, to join together in helping to create a better and safer internet for all.

Using the internet safely and positively is a key message that we promote at St. Mark’s, and celebrating Safer Internet Day is a great opportunity for us to re-emphasise the online safety messages we deliver throughout the year. We’d be delighted if you could join us in celebrating the day by encouraging your child to take part.

Here are some activities you can do at home:

  • Watch Detective DigDuck virtual assembly here. Can you talk to an adult about what you have learned?
  • Watch the CBBC live lesson on how to stay safe online at 11:00 on the CBBC channel (09.02.21) or online here.
  • Can you design a poster to show how to stay safe online?

Please send any work to admin for me to share with your friends.
