In RE, we have been learning all about why Christians call Jesus the Light of the World. We have been looking at the significance of candles and light in churches and created a beautiful display in the KS1 corridor!
To discover more about Christian traditions and beliefs, we visited St Mark’s Tollington Parish. James spoke to us about why Christians believe Jesus is the light of the world and talked to us about related scriptures in the Bible.
He also gave us a tour of the church – we saw the baptismal where baptisms take place and he talked to us about Holy Communion.
