This morning Year 6 went to St Mary’s Church to take part in their special Deanery Leavers Service. The theme for the service was the ‘Pentecost’ and children worshipped and sang in celebration.

They were joined by the other eight CofE primary schools in Islington to celebrate the closing chapter in their primary education. We then reflected and looked ahead to the future to celebrate the next exciting chapter that awaits them at secondary school.

Each school presented a banner representing their school’s Christian vision. Children exchanged postcards of well wishes and positive advice for their future and finally balloons were released high into the sky sending messages of faith and love into the local community.
