In nursery we focus on helping the children gaining confidence with their mark making and supporting their pre writing skills. We do this with many different fun, messy and sensory activities throughout the day.
This are things that you can do at home too. Here are some activity ideas:
- Shaving foam in trays
- Finger painting
- Play dough to help develop their fine and gross motor skills
- Flour and glitter in trays (making patterns)
- Sand
- Squishy bags
- Salt tray drawing
- Threading with large beads or blocks
All of these activities will support your child’s develop in many areas.
