This week has been a very busy week in school and Opal class have been doing a lot of learning and carrying out many investigations too. We finally finished prepping our volcanoes in topic and carried out our volcanic eruption experiments. Everyone was very hands on and had a great time watching the volcanoes erupt.

We also carried out some map work in groups by locating famous volcanoes around the world. Our knowledge of the continents from year 2 helped us to find the countries more easily.

In English we have been writing our own dream (good, bad and strange) jars. In maths we were looking at missing numbers and measuring in millilitres and litres. In science lesson we have been learning about the processes involved in fossilisation and who Mary Anning was.
