As part of our learning about Climate Change, we wanted to learn more about the Greenhouse effect and how it was working to heat up our world.
We conducted an experiment in class where we filled 2 beakers the equal amounts of water that were the same temperature. We covered one of the beakers and recorded the temperature over a period of time, at 10 minute intervals.
We were excited to see that the temperature of the covered beaker rose higher and faster than the beaker that was uncovered, showing us how greenhouse gasses work as a barrier trapping heat around our earth.
Ms Kamara and Ms Ahmad left the beakers over a couple of days and we were very excited to see that the temperature of the water in the beaker that was covered rose 10°c higher that the uncovered beaker! Wow, wow, wow!
