On the Tuesday before half term we were very lucky to be visited by the Decus Ensemble. They selected eight schools in London during Black History Month to celebrate the music of 5 black classical composers.

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 gathered in the hall for the concert which included a quiz of ‘who composed this one?’, a big hosepipe teaching us about vibrations and some great rhythms along to Lin Manuel-Miranda’s ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’. Also, St Mark’s students were the first school to correctly identify EVERY instrument!
