Dear Parents and Carers,

I sincerely hope this message finds you, your family and loved ones in good health.

I am writing to you to let you know that at the start of this week you will all be receiving a phone call from your child’s class teacher. This is to check how things are going in terms of their home learning and to see if there is anything additional that we can support you with.

The run up to Easter would normally have been one of the busiest times of the school year. Sadly, owing to the devastating impact of Covid-19, we were not able to celebrate this very important time together. I do hope that even with places of worship closed, you were able to acknowledge the event in some special way.

Whilst the scale of this crisis can feel daunting, I am humbled and heartened in equal measure by the everyday acts of courage and humanity which serve to remind us that better days lie ahead. I am particularly proud of the staff who are keeping the school open and supporting each other, their neighbours and community in many different ways.

Please be open with class teachers about your situation. We know things will be very difficult for many of you.

Please stay safe everyone, and look after yourselves and loved ones. We’ll see you again, just as soon as we’re able to.

Warmest wishes,

Ms Braithwaite
