The children have started to explore their school environment and planted their first seeds. This generated some interesting discussions around where and how food plants grow and processes involved in them becoming food that the children recognise, for example, the children were curious about how wheat plants come to be bread. Over the coming weeks and months, many new things will grow in the garden that the children can cook with. I wonder what delicious snacks we might make!
