This afternoon Year 3 we went to the Ascension service at St. Marks Church.
We learnt that word “ascension” means “going up”.
Jesus ascended to heaven to sit at the right-hand side of God the Father.
It is a very important time in the calendar of the Christian church.

We all know that, although Jesus went up to heaven, he will always be by our side and in our hearts!
