We followed a recipe to make jam tarts. To make the pastry we rubbed the butter and flour together, mixed in an egg and a little vanilla essence to form a dough and then rolled it out.  We cooked the tarts with the jam already in. We thought about which type of jam tart looked the best and which tasted the best.
