Last Friday, Year 5 and 6 attended the National Grid Science Festival at Platform on Hornsey Road.

We completed enjoyable workshops in groups that tested our knowledge and understanding of Forces and Electricity topics.

‘Mad Science’ were also at the festival and we had a whole class workshop which was great fun.

Discuss your favourite parts of the day in this Blog.

I liked the science festival because it was funny and I learned a lot about electricity. We also played with magnet races and the part was when some people got electric shock.

I had a dazzling time doing different activities like the speedy wind mill, the terrorfiying-deathdifiying , marble rolercoster and the paper that you put a colour onto and whatch as it invades the rest and transforms into a different colour, but the best part was when a real mad scientist came to see us! She tought us about electricity and how it passes through us humans. (that’s how you get electrocuted).

  6. I enjoyed it learnt new things like wind makes a windmill spin how strong magnets are. My best part of my day was when they dropped the paper clips and we had to use are magnets to pick them up from the ground.

  7. Hi I enjoyed the magnet race the most because I won all the times I played and it was fun.

  8. I liked all the activities but the
    best was the magnet maze
i also liked when a mad
    scientist came and
    did a show.
