Anthony, from the RSPB and Caroline, our resident gardener delivered a workshop ‘Giving Nature A Home’

Anthony began the workshop by finding out what the children already knew about habitats.

Caroline asked the children if they knew of any habitats in the school.

Anthony was impressed to hear the children’s extensive knowledge of habitats and the eco system.

The children were set a task to think of the school grounds and decide if there was a habitat.

The children were able to identify areas in the school playground that was a habitat.

Anthony gave each group a map of the playground, a habitat chart and stickers. Their task was to use the chart to find any habitats and place a sticker on the map.

The children were busy finding habitats in the playground

Some habitats found were a surprise to the children.

We have shown our Christian Value of  service, compassion and friendship. We are thankful for all God’s creatures and working together we will help retain his work.
