The Religious Education this term is Christianity.
The children will be learning how belief in God affected the actions of people in the Old Testament.
In our first week the children enjoyed learning about Abraham. They learnt that he is revered in Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
The children watched an animated film showing how Abraham proved his faith in god.
Coral Class, can you tell me how Abraham showed his faith in God?
Abraham showed faith in God by saying I will sacrifice my son because Abraham had faith in God
He was willing to kill his son
Abraham showed faith in God by willing to sacrifice his son.
Abraham showed faith in god by listening to him going to cannan and agreeing to sacrifice his son

2. The second way Abraham had faith in God was by nearly sacrificing his son but at the last moment God stopped Abraham because it was only a test to see if Abraham had faith in God

1. Abraham was going to sacrifice his son because God told Abraham to and Abraham listened as Abraham had faith, but God stopped him when Abraham was about going to and God stopped Abraham because it was a test.
2.God said to move to a different land because God promised Abraham that Abraham have many descendants.

God said to Abraham to kill his son abraham went on a mountain to sacrifice his son but God wanted to see if he had faith so god said stop I wanted to see if you have faith and Abraham was happy that he didn’t need to kill his son.

1. God promised to Abraham you are going to have so many descendants if Abraham goes to Canaan
2. God told to Abraham sacrifice his son and he was allmost Abraham was going to do it God said stoped Abraham I wanted to see you have faith in me
