  1. I think that ‘The Rabbits’ is a really nice book. It is quite sad but it represents many real world problems. For example, the destruction of the Aboriginal culture and indigenous community. Some of the things I liked were: the style the rabbits were drawn in, how as you read the books you can really see how it relates to the colonisation of many countries and how some cultures believe how they are above others and can do whatever you like

  2. In this book I loved how it has some realistic stories to read, for example, The Arrival of Captain James Cook in Botany Bay. I dislike how this story can be emotional for some others as they might have experienced something like colonisation or having their children taken away from them. I learnt from this book that every world is different so if for example you live in London we have different things that Africa has.

I like this book because it is based to Captain Cook and real life stuff that happened. I liked reading and learning about this book.

I disliked how the rabbit’s took the numbat’s land. I liked how the inhabit’s fought the rabbit’s even though there were more of them.

  6. In my opinion i think this is an amazing book. this was one of my favourite books to read. My favourite part of (The rabbits) was the pictures because they are nice and calm and very interesting.

  7. My favourite part of the book was when the rabbits and numbats tried to learn about
each of the different species of animals

  8. I like how the rabbits book is based off a true story and it is just a very intresting book, how ever i do not like how the book is very short and mostly pictures and not enough infomation.

  9. I liked the book because it was based on a real story. It had really good pictures and only a few words but i still loved the book and the work we did on that. The book was really good

  10. I liked how the book informed us about the aboriginal people because i never knew about it and it links to Captain Cook at Botany Bay about colonisation.

I thought this book was excellent and a fantastic book to start year 6. The illustrations were good and I loved that it was based on a real happening. What I liked most though was that it was based in Australia, where part of my family is from.

  12. In my opinion this book is really good, because it has a lot of pictures which, really describes the pages. I dislike the ending because it wasn’t a happy ending but still a really good book i would recommend it.
